Osaka Networking Issues
Resolved - We're still seeing minor blips, but the media server metrics have returned to more or less normal levels and we aren't seeing any other impacts to service. We'll continue to monitor and will reopen another incident should that change.

Scheduled - We will be conducting regularly scheduled infrastructure updates at this time. Non-Anycast CDN services as well as ZephyrGuard tunnels will have a brief downtime for service restarts. Petalpost mail clients will experience a brief downtime as we restart services on our primary mail host, however our secondary mail hosts will receive any inbound mail during this time.

Updates to our virtualization infrastructure are included in this round of updates, which will result in a slightly longer period of inaccessibility for services hosted inside our on-premise environment.

Osaka Networking Issues
Resolved - Although we continue to see minor blips, our media server metrics have returned to the normal range, so this issue does not appear to be continuing to affect service. We will continue to keep an eye out for any further alerts related to metric drops as they relate to this issue.

Update - We’re seeing a slight improvement to the media server metrics, but there has still been continuing interruptions in the past couple hours. We’re continuing to monitor and will update with any further info we receive.

Update - We’re continuing to investigate this issue. We are still seeing these intermittent blips in connectivity and it appears to still be affecting media server metrics.

Investigating - There appears to be some intermittent network issues occurring with the upstream provider in Osaka which is causing a drop in media server performance metrics. At this time the provider is not reporting any issues. We will continue to monitor the situation for any further degradation and investigate the underlying cause.

Completed - We have successfully reinstalled the OS on Karuizawa and confirmed full routing functionality.

Scheduled - We will be upgrading the OS on Karuizawa, our Kansas City router. During this time, we will withdraw all routes from Kansas City which will result in the loss of some routes received via internet exchanges, but generally should not affect the on-prem environment.
