In a similar vein, make sure to update your mail clients IMAP server to imap.petalpost.kazehana.io and SMTP submission server to smtp.petalpost.kazehana.io as the old hostname has already stopped working for these purposes.

Verifying
All testing has completed successfully and queues have been flushed on backup MXs successfully. We are monitoring to ensure stability, and are setting TTLs back to normal values.

Reinstall of mail services appears to have gone well, and we are applying changes to our backup MXs to allow them to trust the new hostname before flushing their queues.

Data has been exported and we are now beginning the process of reinstalling the OS. During this time, we will also be changing the host's PTR record and MX records on all domains. If you haven't changed your MX record already, you should do so now.

Mail services have been stopped on the primary MX. Any inbound mail will now begin queuing on our secondary MXs. IMAP and mail submission are no longer accessible.

We will be upgrading the operating system of our primary MX at this time. There will be a downtime for sending emails, as well as the ability to read incoming emails via IMAP. However, no incoming email will be lost, as it will be received by our backup MXs while the server is offline.
